Toronto Maple Leafs Send Alex Steeves To Toronto Marlies, Place Bobby McMann On IR
Maple Leafs F Bobby McMann has been placed on IR (retroactive to November 27) and F Alex Steeves has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies (AHL). F Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies have been activated from IR. The 24-year-old will return to the Marlies where he has nine goals and 12 points in 10 games, leading the team in both categories.
Maple Leafs' Alex Steeves: Returned to AHL affiliate
Steeves was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Saturday, per David Alter of The Hockey News. The Maple Leafs needed roster spots as Auston Matthews (upper body) and Matthew Knies (upper body) were activated from injured reserve and will play Saturday in Tampa Bay. Steeves was pointless in four NHL games this season before his demotion.
