AM IST A thick layer of smog enveloped Delhi on Sunday morning as the city's air quality deteriorated to the 'very poor' category. The city's air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 366 at 7 am on Sunday while it was 412 at 4 pm on Saturday.

The Supreme Court also observed that the Delhi government did not properly follow Group 4 guidelines between November 18 and 23. The court said that appropriate steps were not taken to stop trucks from coming to Delhi.

Delhi continued to choke with ‘severe plus’ air quality for the second consecutive day. The smog engulfed the city.
