Jenner, a longtime supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, asked her followers on social media platform X whether she should run for governor in 2026 after Gov. Gavin Newsom’s term is done. She lost her long-shot bid for the governorship during the 2021 California gubernatorial recall election, where voters ultimately chose not to recall Newsom.

A source close to Jenner told Newsweek that the former Olympic athlete has not ruled out another bid for the governor's office.
