A Democratic mayoral candidate who campaigned to govern one of California’s biggest cities is refusing to concede defeat. Flojaune Cofer and California Assemblyman Kevin McCarty, both Democrats, have spent months battling it out to become Sacramento’s next mayor.

Assemblyman Kevin McCarty has declared victory in the Sacramento mayoral race, which has not been officially decided yet. His opponent, Dr. Flojaune Cofer, is waiting for the final results. ABC10 is not calling the race,

The dense fog advisory also included the cities of Marysville, Yuba City, Chico, Oroville, Stockton, Fairfield and Suisun City. The dense fog was expected in portions of the central and southern Sacramento Valley and northern San Joaquin Valley; primarily east of Interstate 5.

A dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 8:56 a.m. valid for Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for East Central Willamette Valley, Linn County Lowlands and Lane County Lowlands.
