The holiday travel rush is expected to be bigger than ever this year, and staffing shortages and weather can lead to delays.

The TSA also predicted that 3 million people will pass through airport security checkpoints on Sunday; more than that could break the record of 3.01 million set on the Sunday after the July Fourth holiday.

In a wide-ranging interview with TSA administrator David Pekoske told TPG the agency expects record-breaking crowds at airports for the holidays.
