Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama's helped Memphis keeping its good streak alive. The Grizzlies defeated the Pelicans 120-109. The Grizzlies (13-7) have won five consecutive games. Each of the last four have been by double figures. Morant led the Grizzlies with 27 points.

In their final game of NBA Cup group play, the Pelicans played a competitive game against the Memphis Grizzlies. They stayed within striking distance until late in the fourth quarter. But the end result — a 120-109 loss to Memphis at FedEx Forum — was the same as the previous six games the Pelicans have played.

The Grizzlies have done this despite Ja Morant missing 10 games already, as the star point guard was sidelined for most of November with a right hip subluxation and pelvic muscle strains. Returning from that injury on Monday,
