Mexico and Canada are the United States’ top two trading partners, accounting for nearly 30% of trade volumes.

Donald Trump has levelled his most severe threat against Canada in years, warning that on his very first day on office he will impose a 25 per cent tariff on all goods from Canada and Mexico, unless those countries curb the flow of drugs and migrants over their borders.

Trump says he will sign an executive order imposing a 25% tariff on all goods coming from Mexico and Canada and a 10% tariff on those from China.
