The National Weather Service has fine-tuned their initial winter storm watch area issued yesterday. Most of the winter storm watch area has now become either a winter storm warning or a winter weather advisory. Here is the current alignment of winter storm warnings, winter weather advisories and even still a small area of a winter storm watch.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a winter storm watch for parts of upstate New York, effective from Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Areas Affected: Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties, including cities like Buffalo, Batavia, Jamestown, and Olean.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a winter storm watch for Erie County from Wednesday at 4 p.m. until Friday at 7 a.m.

Colder temperatures are in store for southeast Michigan as a surge of arctic air reaches the region, according to the National Weather Service. A large winter storm will cover the eastern United States with rain, lake-effect snow, and cold temperatures from Tuesday, December 10, to Thursday, December 12.
