At $700 and with no Black Friday deal in sight, the PS5 Pro is the most expensive console release to date. The PlayStation 5 Pro was released on Nov. 7, knocking over the first domino in a line that might end with me taking a trip to GameStop or Best Buy -- but probably after Black Friday ends.

Early Black Friday deals have already started at some retailers and there is already major savings happening on PlayStation 5 consoles, games and accessories. With the holidays approaching fast now is the time to take advantage of deals on PS5s for the perfect gift for yourself or people in your life.

PlayStation is launching its annual Black Friday sale with huge savings on PS5 consoles, PSVR 2, PlayStation Plus and must-play games.

If you wanted to combine strategies, you could start by applying for the Prime Visa. If you're approved, you could use the $200 Amazon gift card to bring down the price of the PS5 Pro to $500. Then use Affirm's plan to make four payments of $125 every two weeks.

If you're buying a PS5 this Black Friday, don't be tempted by the Pro. The regular old PS5 is the better deal.
