Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Wednesday that Tehran reserves the right to react to Israeli airstrikes last month on Iran but is also taking account of other developments in the region.

Israeli airstrikes are hitting Lebanon with airstrikes as negotiations progress toward a ceasefire between the country and Lebanon-based Hezbollah militants.

The strikes, which destroyed an eight-story building and left a crater in the ground, were the fourth in Beirut in less than a week.

Israel launched a new wave of extensive airstrikes that hit the area of Tayouneh on the outskirts of Beirut's southern suburbs, on Tuesday. The airstrikes come ahead of an expected cease-fire to end the 13-month war between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that it carried out airstrikes on a Hezbollah facility where the militant group stores mid-range rockets in southern Lebanon after both sides accused each other of breaching the ceasefire that aims to halt over a year of fighting.
