Rishabh Pant posted an emotional farewell note for Delhi Capitals after getting signed by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025 auction. Pant started his IPL career with Delhi Capitals in 2016 and was later also named their captain.

Delhi Capitals had released their captain Pant ahead of the auction where he became the most expensive player ever with a Rs 27 crore bid from LSG.

At the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah Delhi Capitals were looking for a skipper as they had parted ways with wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. However, after the event DC co-owner Parth Jindal has confirmed that the management will be going forward with dual captaincy.

Parth Jindal said that he and DC co-owners GMR had a chat with Rishabh Pant before releasing him, but the feedback was not taken as they though it would have been taken.
