Massive traffic snarls caused inconvenience to commuters crossing the Delhi-Noida border on Monday as police set up multiple barricades in view of the farmers' protest march towards the national capital.

The Supreme Court on Monday directed farm leaders to persuade protestors not to obstruct highways or cause inconveniences to the public.

Farmer leader Guramneet Singh Mangat announced that alongside the march toward Delhi, farmer groups in Kerala, Uttarakhand, and Tamil Nadu would also stage protests targeting their respective state assemblies starting 6 December.
