Minnesota officials are stepping up DWI enforcement to combat ‘incredible and unacceptable’ trend
State troopers made many stops for impaired driving during a recent enforcement campaign across Minnesota. (Jeff Wheeler/The Minnesota Star Tribune) Law enforcement from 300 agencies across Minnesota will be out in full force looking for impaired drivers as part of a campaign to encourage motorists to drive sober and keep the roads safe at a time when traffic fatalities are on the rise.

A DWI enforcement campaign will start on Wednesday and run through New Year's Eve in Minnesota. More than 300 local law enforcement agencies providing extra enforcement on weekends in order to limit DWI-related crashes across the state.
