Moana 2 is enjoying a historic adventure at the box office, where it has shattered record after record since its launch Thanksgiving eve. Heading into the holiday, Walt Disney Animation’s sequel was tracking to open to an already huge $125 million to $135 million for the long five-day weekend (Wednesday-Sunday).

Part 1″ and “Gladiator II” fueled the “highest-grossing Thanksgiving ever at the box office,” according to NBC News. The three movies brought in a combined $420 million to the box office during Thanksgiving weekend — surpassing the previous record of $315.

That’s not even to mention the windfall that came from the combination of its ticket sales with the other top movies. Together, Moana 2, Wicked and Gladiator II earned the lion’s share of what was the best five-day Thanksgiving period on record with $422 million.
