At least 27 people died and more than 100 are missing after a boat capsizes on Niger River, authorities in Nigeria say

A boat carrying more than 200 persons have reportedly capsized along the Dambo-Ebuchi sections of River Niger.

Niger State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA, has disclosed that 22 bodies have been recovered after the boat mishap that occurred between Baro and Akwanu communities of Agaie local government area of Niger State.
