A man in Fond du Lac was reportedly convicted of Reckless Homicide tied to a fentanyl overdose back in 2023. Fond du Lac District Attorney Eric Toney announced that 41-year-old Adrian Santiago-Hernandez pleaded no contest and was found guilty of homicide.

The victim's mother told investigators her daughter had been sober for about 11 months before the overdose, the complaint reads.

Manitowoc police were called to the 900 block of South 23rd Street on July 20, 2023, for the report of an unconscious 42-year-old man. Despite life-saving attempts, including multiple doses of Narcan, the man was later pronounced dead.
