It's officially transfer portal season. Wisconsin defensive back Amare Snowden announced his intentions to enter his name into the portal on Dec. 1, and a Gophers legend has made a recruiting pitch for him to come to Minnesota.

As things stand today (Dec. 2, 2024) the Wisconsin Badgers have had several players announce their intention to enter the transfer portal. Nothing is official until the portal window opens on Dec. 9. Once that date hits, significant movement can be expected — both out of the program and into it.

Wisconsin outside linebacker Leon Lowery announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Sunday. The news follows the Badgers’ season-closing loss to rival Minnesota. That result pushed the team to 5-7 on the season,

Lowery initially spent four seasons at Syracuse before transferring to Wisconsin to help revamp the team's pass rush under Mike Tressel. In 2023, Lowery was a key starter for the Orange, registering 46 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks.

Wisconsin Badgers cornerback Amare Snowden is entering the transfer portal, he announced on Sunday. Snowden, a redshirt freshman, was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023, according to Rivals, and had initially committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats.
