Formula 1 has given provisional approval for General Motors to enter the series in 2026 as an 11th team under the Cadillac Formula 1 Team banner.

The 11th team will be called Cadillac F1 and be run by new Andretti Global majority owners Dan Towriss and Mark Walter.
