AEW Full Gear 2024 saw Jon Moxley put his World Heavyweight title on the line against Orange Cassidy. The storyline revolved around Moxley’s new faction, the Death Riders, taking over AEW, with Cassidy coming to the aid of the promotion.

Bobby Lashley and Swerve Strickland battled in a big time match at Full Gear 2024, which served as the perfect way to establish Lashley in AEW. He dominated early on, but a resilient Strickland managed to get back into the match with a massive Swerve Stomp through the announce table.

AEW returned to the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., for its final tentpole pay-per-view event of the calendar year, “Full Gear.”
