Parts of Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania all experienced heavy snow over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Another weather system is looming, ready to bring more cold temperatures and wind chill to the Great Lakes region and the eastern half of the U.

Snow continued to fall Monday around parts of the Great Lakes region, where storm-weary residents who have plowed and shoveled for days faced the prospect of even greater accumulations.

It’s still snowing in the Great Lakes after it snarled travel, stranded motorists and buried homes. A short-lived break is coming before more snow arrives.
