Microsoft on Monday morning said it is investigating an issue impacting users attempting to access services including its Outlook email product. In a post on X, Microsoft wrote it is assessing "an issue impacting users attempting to use Exchange Online or functionality within Microsoft Teams calendar.

Microsoft said Monday that it has identified the cause of a major Outlook and Teams outage, and is deploying a fix to the problem.

Microsoft said it's working to restore many programs after an outage Monday, but said progress has been slower than expected.
