The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of shots fired in the area of a Wicomico County School bus Tuesday.

SALISBURY, N.C. — A man has died after a bus caught fire Monday night, according to the Salisbury Fire Department. It occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on the 700 block of Klumac Road. Firefighters said the bus was engulfed in flames.

Arson investigators are calling a fire in a bus in Salisbury an accident. They say an electrical issue caused the fire Monday night on Klumac Road. A man named Michael Osterhus was found dead inside.

When they arrived, they saw the bus engulfed in flames. The fire was quickly extinguished but a person was found dead inside, officials said. During the response, a firefighter sustained minor burn injuries to their face.
