Fournier, 61, took a tragic turn after her body was found over the weekend in Welches, Oregon, an unincorporated community at the base of Mount Hood.

A body found in the Welches area Friday was identified as a 61-year-old woman initially believed to have gone missing while hiking in the Mt. Hood area.

Lane Fournier, has been charged with second-degree murder after her body was found near Welches, and he is set to be arraigned in Clackamas County on Monday.
