AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Saturday, the Austin Police Department confirmed it was investigating a homicide in southeast Austin. According to police, the initial call came in at approximately 4 a.m. for a fire in the 1700 block of Nelms Drive, near Interstate 35 and William Cannon Drive.
