Twenty high school football players signed agreements Wednesday to join the Gopher football program’s 2025 recruiting class. Minnesota had 22 prospects pledged to join next season, but two players de-committed and didn’t sign with the U.

Those are some of the highlights of the 2025 high school recruiting class that signed binding financial aid agreements with the Gophers on Wednesday morning during the opening day of college football’s early signing period.

The top high school player in Minnesota, Robbinsdale Cooper’s Emmanuel Karmo, signed with the Gophers Wednesday afternoon at Cooper High School. Karmo is considered a four-star recruit, and will play linebacker for the Gophers.

He was on P.J. Fleck's coaching staff with the Gophers from 2019 to 2021 and he's now reportedly been hired as the new head coach at the University of Massachusetts, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Harasymiak heads to UMass after spending the last three seasons as the defensive coordinator at Rutgers.
